We strive to bring value to our members The Northern VA/Washington DC Local CIPTUG Chapter is one of the largest and most active in the world. We have been meeting now for over two and a half years and we are continuing to try and leverage the Cisco TelePresence video conferencing system whenever it is available. Often meeting attendees have the opportunity to go to either the Cisco office in Herndon VA or the Cisco office in Downtown DC. From these locations, we are able to jointly meet with Cisco Subject Matter Experts in California, Texas, and North Carolina through the TelePresence system. The 65” high-definition plasma screens and the specially designed audio system allow everyone in the ‘virtual’ meeting to really feel like they are in the same room together. It is a great tool. The CIPTUG Northern Virginia/DC Chapter is an independent user group focusing on Cisco Unified Communications. The chapter furthers the CIPTUG mission by offering Cisco Unified Communications users local programs and events throughout the year to:
exchange information, experiences and best practices
influence Cisco and IPC Partners' product enhancements and directions
enhance their product knowledge and technical expertise
network with other users, Cisco and Cisco Partners
Based on the interests and requirements expressed by members, meeting agendas are organized by the chapter leadership team and typically include members sharing their experiences and expertise, product and service updates, engaging open discussions, and vendor showcases.
Meetings are open to both Cisco end users who are either CIPTUG members or looking to become members. Vendor participation in the chapter meetings is limited to CIPTUG Vendor Members and subject to the chapter guidelines.
